About Linda Cersosimo

Linda Cersosimo is an artist working in a number of mediums including acrylic, encaustic, watercolor, mixed media, collage, monotype, etching and silkscreen.

Born in Boston, MA, Linda graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education and a Master of Science in Art Education.

Linda retired after a successful 36-year career as an art specialist in the Billerica, Massachusetts Public School system. For the past twelve years she has taught multiple art courses at Great Bay Community College in Portsmouth, NH where she is an adjunct professor in the Fine Arts Department. Linda received the President’s Award for Outstanding Adjunct in May 2019, a testament to her dedication to her students and passion for teaching.    

Linda’s artistic practice has flourished in recent years, taking many different forms. She loves to spend time outdoors, painting en plein air, producing numerous works. No matter what the subject, she records the visual aesthetics of color, shape, movement, atmosphere, and light in expressive ways for the viewer to respond to and enjoy.

In addition to her creative practice, she is a curator, educator and arts organizer and has served on the Boards of Directors for various arts organizations.

Linda’s artwork is on view at Gallery 302 in Bridgton, Maine where she is an exhibiting member artist. She has also exhibited her art in galleries and businesses throughout New England and Florida.
